This Board Brief provides an update to recent and future activities involving the division’s current strategic planning process. The brief reviews the activities and provides the content supplied at the most recent Strategic Planning Committee meeting held on December 11th.

Background:
|
After analysis across all domains as stated in the Preparing for Strategic Planning report provided to the board on November 11, FourPoint Education Partners proposed that ACPS promotes equity throughout the division by ensuring that five objective areas are addressed: systemic coherence, instructional excellence, student accessibility and supports, strategic resource allocation, and parent and community engagement. Strategic Planning subcommittees were formed for each of these five objective areas. The formation of the subcommittees was informed by members’ individual interests and expertise while also ensuring diversity and representation across stakeholder groups within each subcommittee.

Recommendation:

The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review this Brief, along with the included attachment, to remain informed on the current strategic planning work taking place within the division.
