On January 22nd, 2020, Alexandria City Public Schools received a financial donation of $5,000.00 from Alexandria community member, Ms. Jen Walker, to purchase new water fountains for George Washington Middle School. In accordance with ACPS Policy KH and Regulation KH-R, any donation over $2,500 requires school board approval. The donation must meet the established standards of acceptance requirements.

Background:

On January 15th, a community member of Alexandria City Public Schools submitted a Community Funded Facilities Request Form for George Washington Middle School regarding the purchase and installation of new water fountains. To help support that Community Funded Facilities Request, community member, Ms. Jen Walker, donated $5000.00. The ACPS Operations Department will work through the next steps needed to install the fountains.
