Agenda Item Summary: On June 19, 2020, Alexandria City Public Schools received a financial donation of $5,967.24 from the Campagna Center to install new carpet in the Early Head Start classrooms located at T.C. Williams High School. In accordance with ACPS Policy KH and Regulation KH-R, any donation over $2,500 requires School Board approval. The donation must meet the established standards of acceptance requirements.
Background: On May 18, 2020, Dr. Tammy Mann, President and CEO of The Campagna Center, inquired about donating funds to help facilitate aesthetic upgrades to the Early Head Start rooms at T.C. The ACPS Operations Department will work through the next steps needed to install the new carpet after approval by the School Board.
Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the donation of $5,967.24 for carpet for the T.C. Williams Early Head Start classroom.
