Agenda Item Summary: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of ACPS schools through the end of the school year, many of the metrics that would have been used to evaluate the Superintendent will no longer be available. These metrics include testing and survey results. The Superintendent Evaluation Criteria Advisory Committee reconvened and met on April 20 and May 4, 2020 to recommend changes to the Measurement/Evaluation/Artifacts/Key Performance Indicators in each section of the evaluation document.
Background: The Superintendent Evaluation Criteria Development Advisory Committee initially met on May 29, 2019 to develop a work plan for evaluating and updating the Superintendent Evaluation Criteria document. The School Board adopted the revised evaluation document at the Special Called School Board Meeting held on November 14, 2019. The revised evaluation document was presented for Board review on May 15, 2020 as a board brief.
Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends the School Board adopt the revised Superintendent Evaluation Criteria document for use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
