Agenda Item Summary:
George Washington (GW) Middle School had a number of areas with water intrusion and/ or mold in 2018. These areas were systematically inspected, tested and addressed. Various Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) funding sources were utilized to address the issues with corrective measures. |
Background:
Science Classroom A109 had a water intrusion issue in September 2018, which resulted in fungi growth along the east wall of the classroom. ACPS employees conducted a site reconnaissance of the room. It was discovered that the source of water intrusion that fomented the organic growth was related to the adjacent book storage room. |
