At the conclusion of SY13-14, the Alexandria City School Board approved the organization of a committee tasked to establish an Athletic Hall of Fame (AHOF) for the purpose of recognizing outstanding alumni athletes from current and former ACPS high schools. The committee developed the nomination and selection criteria to recognize athletes and held its first induction of ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees in December 2014. Since that time, the Athletic Hall of Fame Advisory Committee has held four annual ceremonies that have inducted 36 athletes and 7 honorees as of June 2018. The Athletic Hall of Fame plaques are displayed at T.C. Williams High School in the hallway outside the Gerry Bertier Gymnasium.
