Agenda Item Summary: On Tuesday, March 23, 2021 Lazarus Ministry at St. Paul's Episcopal Church informed ACPS that they will be donating $5,400 for the purchase of gift cards for families in need at William Ramsay Elementary School. In accordance with ACPS Policy KH and Regulation KH-R, any donation over $2,500 requires School Board approval. The donation must meet the established standards of acceptance requirements.
Background: The Lazarus Ministry at St. Paul Episcopal Church informed William Ramsay Elementary School of its desire to donate food gift cards for the students and families. The initial contact was made with the school social worker who coordinated the efforts with Principal Mike Routhouska, and the Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships.
Recommendation: The Superintendent recommends that the School Board accept the donation of $5,400 for the purchase of gift cards for families in need at William Ramsay Elementary School.
