This is a draft presentation for the Joint City/Schools CIP Budget Work Session regarding ACPS’s FY 2021-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) scheduled for October 23, 2019. The purpose of this agenda item is to review and discuss the presentation in preparation for the joint work session.

Background:
|
Following the Ad-Hoc Joint City-Schools Facilities Investment Task Force’s recommendation that the City Council de-couple their budget processes, City Council is devoting separate times of year for public discussion of the CIP and Operating budgets to meet the intent of the Task Force recommendation. The School Board is having this joint work session on ACPS’s proposed CIP prior to developing and adopting the budget; however, anticipated adjustments from the approved FY 2020-2029 CIP are reflected in the presentation.

Recommendation:

The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the attached draft of the presentation to the Joint City/Schools CIP Budget Work Session.
