Agenda Item Summary: The attached PowerPoint provides an overview of the purpose of summer school, and how summer learning is planned and advertised. It will also outline all summer programs and facilities housing programming. This presentation includes some insight regarding next year's summer learning opportunities.
Background: For the last four summers, Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) has provided summer learning opportunities for all students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Previously, summer learning opportunities were only offered to students who participated in Extended School Year (ESY), English Language Program, and High School Summer Enrichment.
