The School Board reviewed the following policies at its April 7, 2016 Work Session and April 21, 2016 Board Meeting. They can now be advanced for Consent. (Hyperlinks to current policies are included for reference.)
Policy ECAB – Vandalism (revised to incorporate minor updates to legal references and to reflect ACPS practice)
Policy ECB – Buildings and Grounds Maintenance (recommended for deletion – incorporated into Policy EC: Buildings and Grounds Management and Maintenance, consented on 3/10/16)

Background:
|
The Code of Virginia § 22.1-253.13:7 provides that each local school board shall maintain and follow up-to-date policies, and that all school board policies be reviewed at least every five years and revised as needed. In addition, the Alexandria City School Board’s Policy BF-Board Policy Manual provides that policies will be reviewed at least every three years and revised as needed.
