ACPS will begin the first annual reporting cycle of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) outcomes for each goal area in fall 2016. KPI outcomes will be reported by goal area at School Board Work Sessions from October through January 2017. Several KPIs had baseline data established during 2015-2016. For those specific KPIs, baseline results will be reported out and targets established for the 2016-2017 school year and beyond. KPIs and targets will be revisited on an annual basis to validate their appropriateness in informing stakeholders on division progress. The annual reporting cycle of KPI outcomes will occur for the duration of the current strategic plan.

Background:

The Board adopted the ‘ACPS 2020’ strategic goals and objectives on June 11, 2015. A Scorecard was developed establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each strategic plan objective. These KPIs are aimed to inform division performance in the specific objective area on an annual basis and ultimately, if ACPS reaches the goal established for school year 2020. On May 20, 2016 the Board was provided with an update to the ACPS 2020 Scorecard. The Scorecard, along with documented methodologies regarding how targets were selected, are provided again as attachments for the Board’s reference.

The Superintendent recommends the Board review the ACPS 2020 Strategic Plan Reporting Timeline in preparation for the 2016-2017 reporting cycle.
