This Board Brief summarizes new data elements made available after the last September update and represents the final version of the workbook for this year. The updated workbook should be reviewed by Board Members in advance of the December 17 Work Session focused on exploring inequitable data outcomes, implications, and next-steps.

Background:
|
Beginning in June, the division, in collaboration with Hanover Research, published a data workbook to inform the strategic planning process. The workbook covered data around where the division has been over the past five years to orient Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) members as they embark on developing recommendations for the future. The workbook was later updated and provided to the Board on September 5 to help inform the creation of the FY 2021 budget priorities. The September 5 update incorporated 2019 SOL performance, ACPS 2020 survey, and Developmental Assets survey results.

Recommendation:

The Superintendent recommends the School Board review the attached material to inform Board Members in advance of the December 17 Board Work Session focused on exploring inequitable data outcomes, implications, and next-steps.
