Agenda Item Summary:
|
The Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee (CTEAC) is presenting the following items for consideration for its 2017-2018 scope of work:
1. Increase CTEAC membership to include representatives from additional program areas, specifically Automotive Technology and Health and Medical Sciences.
2. Explore scholarship opportunities for CTE students to use for programs like NOVA Systemic Solutions’ STEMinars and summer STEM camps.
3. Continue to review and monitor CTE course offerings, and provide direction and advice for expanding, changing, and eliminating CTE courses.
4. Review CTE Annual Performance Report, Industry Certification test results, and student enrollment data to evaluate the effectiveness of CTE programs.
5. Continue increasing awareness of CTE programs by enhancing outreach and program publicity to stakeholders.
6. Approve a new Local Perkins plan for the 2018-2019 academic year.
