This Board Brief provides an update to recent and future activities involving the division’s current strategic planning process. The brief reviews the activities and provides the content supplied at the final Strategic Planning Committee meeting held on January 22nd.

Background:
|
The focus of the final Strategic Planning Committee meeting held on January 22nd was continuing to refine the draft strategic plan through the refinement of objectives, measures, and strategies as well as ensuring alignment across objective areas and the components within. The agenda, presentation, and packet of objectives, measures, and strategies from the meeting are provided as attachments. The draft plan will be presented to the Board March and a final version submitted to the Board by April 2020 to allow for implementation planning to begin prior to launching in July 2020.

Recommendation:

The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review this Brief, along with the included attachments, to remain informed on the current strategic planning work taking place within the division.
