This Board Brief provides an update to recent and future activities involving the division’s current strategic planning process. The brief reviews the activities and provides the content supplied at the most recent Strategic Planning Committee meeting held on January 8th.

Background:
|
With five objective areas having already been identified and subcommittees formed based on members’ individual interests and expertise, the January 8th Strategic Planning Committee meeting focused on further refining the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), objectives, and measures and discussing strategies. Throughout the meeting, committee members were asked to ensure that their refinements of the plan’s components promote equity and align with the Board’s drafted mission, vision, and core values. The agenda, presentation, and packet of objectives, measures, and strategies from the meeting are provided as attachments. This work will continue at the final Strategic Planning Committee Meeting on January 22nd where strategies will be discussed and refined, as well as a focus on alignment across objectives, measures, and strategies.

Recommendation:

The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review this Brief, along with the included attachments, to remain informed on the current strategic planning work taking place within the division.
