As part of the Board’s continuing policy review, we recommend that it review the proposed update to Policy BDDE, which reorders the School Board Meeting Rules of Order by moving the Consent Calendar before Old Business. (A hyperlink to the current policy is included for reference.)
Policy BDDE: Rules of Order and Bylaws
Last updated in March 2018, this policy revision would allow staff answering potential Consent agenda items to do so prior to Old Business presentations and discussion.

Background:
|
The Code of Virginia § 22.1-253.13:7 and Policy BF require the School Board to maintain and follow up-to-date policies, and that all policies shall be reviewed at least every five years and revised as needed.

Recommendation:
|
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board review the attached revision to Policy BDDE.
